First Paper Reflection
After printing out the final copy of my first paper I realized I did not save it correctly on my computer and did not have a finalized copy to place on the blog. Because of this I had to retype the entire thing. At first I was upset as I had already read it over twice and decided I would not find any other errors. After starting to re-type my paper I realized a lot of different mistakes. Re-typing it gave me the ability to stand back from my own writing and see them as just words of the paper. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise...

That is terrible! I feel soo bad for you!! But I agree as far as being able to change things and whatnot. The questions I asked the class about at the end of my paper, really helped me find a focus, one different from the one I was originally going towards, but I think overall my paper turned out better because of it.
ReplyDeleteAh! That's happened to me before. I took an editing class in high school and our teacher always said the best way to edit your work or another's is is to print it out and read it aloud. I'm sure your experience worked the same way. Because you were visibly recopying your work, you were able to physically see your mistakes and have the opportunity to correct them. Sometimes, because we know what we are looking to say when we read across the computer screen, mistakes are easily missed!
