End of the semester?

This semester has gone by way too fast. I cannot believe we only have a month left, and a few short weeks until Siena Fest. I am happy with the progress I have made this year as a writer. I recently switched my major to English and ever since my workload, when it comes to writing, has considerably increased. This has afforded me the opportunity to work on my writing skills, whether I wanted to or not.

  1. Like Craig, I am also very happy with the progress i've made this semester as a writer. I feel as though my writing ability has gone from horrible to not too bad. This is a great improvement for me. All the recent writing assignments i've been given have helped me to use the skills and techniques i've been learning in class to improve my own writing.

  2. I agree with both Craig and Pat. This past semester has flown by really quickly, but I can tell that within this seemingly short time, we have all grown as both writers and critical readers. As we learned in the beginning of the semester, both of these skills go hand and hand, and through practicing them, we can help pass along these skills to fellow writers.

  3. This is VERY true. I did not realize how much I thought I knew that was actually false. I am embarrassed to admit that I always thought the Writing Center was just there to help find grammatical errors in our papers. I now know that this is EXTREMELY far from the truth. This class has taught me so much and informed me how much practice and learning must be done prior to becoming a peer tutor in the Writing Center.
