Portfolio
I just finished putting together a large portion of my portfolio and I am amazed at how my writing has improved over the last semester. I went over my work from the beginning of the semester and made drastic improvements. I think the portfolio was a very cool assignment in that we were able look back at our work and improve on it based on the techniques we learned over the semester. Realizing my own mistakes will help me to tutor others.

Yes, I can see how my writing has improved over the course of the semester as well. I think all of the books we've read for class have really made me aware of the smaller things. I gave "Woe is I" to my cousin since she is a English major. She even said she has picked up new ideas from it.
ReplyDeleteOver the past week I have worked on my portfolio a little at a time and I just finished it! I feel the same, my writing has improved soooo much over the last semester. I always thought that I was a strong writer, but I actually feel so much better now.I can't believe how many stupid errors I was making -- simple things that I should have known!
ReplyDeleteI just finished proof reading my portfolio and am also amazed at how much my writing has improved. I feel that I was always a strong writer, but now I believe that my editing skills have significantly improved. I had always had a hard time looking at my own paper and trying to edit myself, however, now I believe that I am better at editing my own work. I definitely still like to have other people look at it, but when I am left to proof read it myself, I am more confident in my abilites.
