Hopefully this is big enough for everyone to read it, but I was in New York over the weekend and saw this sign.  It was in Times Square and was for Friday’s Restaurant.  The incorrect use of apostrophes reminded me of our class discussion earlier this semester.  Enjoy . . . I guess.

  1. haaahah. I'm sure that's what you were concerned about regarding the sign, but good find none-the-less. What does that Margarita have possession of?

  2. Haha, this is hilarious. Since we've read that book, I've been really paranoid about signs. I have to look at all of them in order to make sure they use correct punctuation.

  3. Haha that's really irritating. Didn't they have some kind of higher-knowledge supervisor read that over before they printed it on a HUGE sign?

  4. This really is irritating! When I went out to Bucco di Beppo (spelling?) I saw the same thing on their place-mats which had writing all over them. It bothered me all through dinner and I bothered my boyfriend about it all through dinner. I do not understand how there are so many errors when a company probably pays thousands of dollars, if not more, for advertising. Wouldn't they want such a huge investment to be done right?!

  5. Hahaha. I really enjoyed this! I still can't believe that there are so many people who make these types of errors. Since I am graduating in a few weeks, I hope there is a job out there for me that requires proofreading and editing signs. I promise, no more mistakes!
